BUCOVINA TOUR

 

Day 1 - BUCHAREST – BUCOVINA

  Meeting the guide in Bucharest. Continue on the route Bucharest - Focsani - Bacau - Targu Neamt. First stop: ALEXANDRU VLAHUTA  -MEMORIAL HOUSE . After we go to GIRBOIU WINE CELLAR (presentation and tasting wines), MAUSOLEUM MARASESTI (monument dedicated to the heroes of World War “heroes glory").

Day 2 – TARGU NEAMT– GURA HUMORULUI

  Breakfast. Today we visit AGAPIA MONASTERY, NEAMT MONASTERY (Orthodox monastery of monks, the largest and oldest monarchical institution in Moldova), NEAMT FORTRESS (is one of the most important medieval monuments and the symbol of the most glorious period of its Eastern part, Moldova, under the rule of Stefan the Great), AUROCHS SANCTUARY, ION CREANGA - MEMORIAL HOUSE IN HUMULESTI . 

Day 3 – GURA HUMORULUI – VATRA DORNEI

  Breakfast. Schedule for today: VORONET MONASTERY, BLACK POTERRY AND THE MARGINEA ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM, SUCEVITA OR MOLDOVITA MONASTERY, MUSEUM OF “PAINTED EGGS” (collection of the museum includes the painted eggs of this area and painted eggs from different countries and other rare eggs).

Day 4 - VATRA DORNEI

  Breakfast. We visit: ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM OF BUCOVINA, a walk in CENTRAL PARK of Vatra Dornei (famous for squirrels) and climb by lift in the superior area of north slope of Black Hill, 1.300 m, where we can admire in full view Dorna Depression, Calimani and Rodna Mountains and possibility to take lunch here, at a SHEEPFOLD.

Day 5 - BUCOVINA - BUCHAREST

 

  Breakfast. Route by bus: Bicaz - Brasov - Bucharest. We visit: BICAZ LAKE AND GORGES (the largest artificial lake landscaped by interior rivers in Romania), RED LAKE (the largest natural mountain lake in Romania, natural dam formed in 1837), BRASOV CITADEL .
